Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Last Stand: Suspended Campaign, Censored Truths
RFK Jr. blasts censorship, party corruption,
Since most people will not watch Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s full video announcement yesterday, I will give you my quick synopsis. However, please watch the full video at the end of this post to understand his position fully rather than rely on hearsay and sound bites from you from the legacy media. Kennedy announced he was suspending his campaign, and while removing his name from some state ballots, he would keep it on other states as he suspended his presidential campaign. Kennedy spoke about corrupt Democratic Party politics, censorship from the legacy media, the Ukraine-Russian war, and the health of American children.
Kennedy launched his campaign knowing the huge challenges he would face, especially after his mistreatment by the Democratic Party and his decision to go the independent party route. He noted the grassroots effort to get him on the ballot in almost all the states, collecting over one million signatures. He also strongly encouraged voters to vote for him in those states where his name will be on the ballot.
Kennedy reflected on the transformation of the Democratic Party, which he believes has strayed from its foundational values. He stated, “I attended my first democratic convention at the age of six in 1960, and back then, the Democrats were the champions of the Constitution of civil rights. The Democrats stood against authoritarianism, against censorship, against colonialism, imperialism, and unjust wars. We were the party of labor, of the working class. The Democrats were the party of government transparency and the champion of the environment; our party was the bulwark against big money interests and corporate power. True to its name, it was the party of democracy. And as you know, I left that party in October [2023] because it had departed so dramatically from the core values I grew up with. It has become the party of war, censorship, corruption, big Pharma, big tech, and big money.”
Kennedy went on to cite that the FBI and CIA were involved in censoring political speech on social media platforms. He mentions a federal judge’s ruling that described this censorship as "the most egregious violation of the First Amendment in U.S. history." Additionally, he criticizes mainstream media for their near-total embargo on live interviews with him despite his significant polling numbers, framing it as an effort to suppress dissenting voices. And I agree with this statement, as the media has purposefully left out qualified candidates from being heard by the masses.
Kennedy offers a sad picture of democracy in the United States, arguing that it has been reduced to a mere slogan rather than a functioning system. He contends that the political institutions, media, and even the Democratic Party have strayed from democratic ideals, resorting to censorship, manipulation, and suppression of dissenting voices. I would argue that these actions have undermined the foundation of our constitutional republic, leaving it alive only at the grassroots level, where ordinary citizens still strive for genuine engagement.
Kennedy criticizes the U.S. involvement in the Ukraine war, portraying it as a proxy conflict driven by neoconservative ambitions for American global hegemony. He argues that the war is a predictable consequence of the U.S.'s reckless expansion of NATO and its provocation of Russia. Kennedy condemned the military-industrial complex for pushing a narrative that justifies endless wars under the guise of stopping tyrants like Vladimir Putin. He believes that these actions have not only devastated Ukraine but also dangerously escalated tensions with Russia, pushing the world closer to nuclear conflict.
Perhaps most importantly, Kennedy focused on how our government over the years has been poisoning Americans -- especially our children. How our government’s collusion with big business has allowed our children to be exposed to environmental toxins, and how the USDA’s food pyramid is so wrong. He spoke about the huge rise in obesity and diabetes with ultra-processed foods and this unhealthy USDA-recommended food pyramid up until 2005:
.
Lastly, in addition to recommending that voters vote for him in the states where his name appears, he suggested that voters vote for Donald Trump in other states. Despite their differences in many policies, they are aligned on the Ukraine War, free speech, and saving the health of America’s youth.
