Meet Ashley Cream, the Woman Advocating for a Sugar Daddy and Mommy Appreciation Day in Boca Raton
At a Boca Raton Planning & Zoning board meeting, a young woman proposes a holiday to honor Florida's generous sugar daddies and mommies, causing a stir in the room.
The heat was palpable at the Boca Raton Planning & Zoning board meeting this past Thursday. The room was packed with the usual suspects, business people seeking to build their projects in the city and retirees who come to these meetings to have their voices heard. But there was one woman who stood out from the crowd. She was young, brash, and had a certain energy that caught my attention.
She introduced herself as Ashley Cream, and she had a proposition for the board, even though she was at the wrong meeting for such a proposal, she wasn’t going to let that stop her. She wanted to create a new holiday, one that would celebrate the sugar daddies and mommies of Florida. According to her, Florida had the largest per capita population of sugar daddies in the entire US. And she wanted to honor these generous Samaritans with a day of appreciation.
As I watched her speak, I couldn't help but be amused by her audacity. She had an elderly man standing behind her, probably her sugar daddy. And as she spoke, she gestured wildly with her hands, almost as if she was casting a spell on the board.
"Let us celebrate these giving generous Samaritans," she said, her voice rising with each word. "I stand before you requesting that you do carry a sugar daddy and mommy appreciation day on March 10th to honor those who have given us so much."
The board members looked at her with a mixture of amusement and confusion. They had never heard of such a thing before. But Ashley was undeterred. She continued to speak passionately about the need to honor these sugar daddies and mommies, who she claimed had contributed so much to the local economy.
As I watched her, I couldn't help but wonder if she was serious. Was she really advocating for a holiday to celebrate sugar daddies and mommies? Or was this all just a big joke?
Either way, I had to admire her boldness. She had managed to capture the attention of everyone in the room. And as she finished her speech and stepped away from the podium, she took some extra time to show herself off to the crowd.
I had to admit, she had a point. Maybe sugar daddies and mommies weren't as bad as some people made them out to be. Maybe they did contribute something valuable to our society. Though I suspect the offspring of the elderly man that was with her, are quick to attempt to lock their father’s bank account from Ms. Cream.
